Manifesting a Fantastic Destiny!

Manifesting a Fantastic Destiny…

In October 2008, I took $100 that I received for my birthday and I treated myself to a book buying binge at Barnes & Noble. My husband makes fun of me because I don’t read fiction. I prefer to read self help and spiritual/new age. I was especially drawn to the Abraham-Hicks 3-pack series which included, “Ask and It is Given,” which is now one of my favorite books of all time. I cannot keep a copy of it in my house, because I will certainly give it away to someone in need. If you or anyone you know is interested in studying the Law of Attraction, I would highly recommend it. Not only did it change my life, but my husband’s as well.

The hubby and I were both recovering from a particularly rough time in our lives. We packed up and moved to another state due to a small business failure and were starting life anew. In hindsight, it was the perfect time to learn the Law of Attraction so as to not repeat the same mistakes that led us down a path to Destituteville. I started reading, “Ask and It is Given,” and to put it lightly, it shocked me. Up until that point, I had no idea of the caliber of power of thought. To explain this in simple terms, the book teaches that everyone and everything in this Universe has a vibration. This includes: people, thoughts, animals, houses, you name it. Positive thoughts equal a positive vibration; negative thoughts are a negative vibration. The more you focus your attention on positive thoughts and feelings, the more likely you are to attract positive things in your life. The more you focus on the negative thoughts and feelings, well you get the picture.

One of the most fascinating stories that I can think of about the Law of Attraction, is my friend, we’ll call him Bill. Bill is an organic vegan and a Virgo, who in his 40’s came down with a horrible case of poison ivy. He tried everything natural that he possibly could to remedy him, however nothing was successful. As a last resort he went to a doctor friend of his who prescribed him Prednisone. Keep in mind, this is a man who is incredibly paranoid when it comes to any prescription drugs. Instead of taking it right away, he consulted two more doctors he new who all told him nothing would happen, except he would get rid of his poison ivy. So, he took the Prednisone and he got over his poison ivy. However, he suffered the worse side effect one could ever acquire from taking steroids, his hip sockets dried up. He was in constant excruciating pain to the point he had to have both hips replaced before the age of 45. He took the steroid with the expectation that something awful would happen, and lo and behold it did. It’s a harsh story, but it makes a good point.

The single most important statement in, “Ask and It is Given,” is that everything we ask for in prayer, is immediately answered without exceptions. However, in order to receive these answers to our prayers, we must be in “reception,” mode. The book gives many processes in which we can, ‘play our way,’ into this reception mode in order to receive the answers to prayer. This point really hit home with me and makes a great deal of sense. How many times have we prayed, only to blame God or the Universe for not answering our prayer? After our prayer, we need to work on raising the vibration of our spirit in order to receive the assistance requested.

I can attest that this does in fact work in marvelous ways. In May of 2009, I had a dream that I was shown two sets of lottery numbers. The first set of numbers was 1-1-1. The second set of numbers was 5-6-9-1. I also heard the words, “these numbers will be hot numbers this summer.” Ten days later, while cleaning the kitchen the lottery drawing popped up on the television and I thought to myself, “This is it.” The numbers 1-1-1 hit that day. I dropped to my knees in disbelief. Last summer the numbers 5-6-9-1 hit a total of five times, not in that order. On the days that my numbers would hit, I would drive myself to work in the morning, play my favorite dance tune and shout out positive affirmations as the top of my lungs and it worked! I was able to raise my vibration and receive the answer to my prayers just as Abraham describes in the book.

I hope that the sharing of these stories has inspired the hope and excitement that you too can receive the answers to your prayers and your heart’s desires.
